No tour for Hayden

The singing cast of county and western TV show Nashville are to head out on a mini-tour of the US.

Since it debuted in 2012, the show’s music has been widely acclaimed, with much of the praise going to T-Bone Burnett, who was the original Executive Music Producer on a show developed by his wife, screenwriter, producer and director Callie Khouri.

US TV network ABC has confirmed that several cast members will play three shows in April and May: Charles Esten (who plays Deacon), Clare Bowen (Scarlett), Jonathan Jackson (Avery), Sam Palladio (Gunnar) and Chris Carmack (Will) will perform live in Chicago, Washington DC and New York.

Nashville leads Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere will not appear in the line-up.

“We have an exceptionally talented cast of great actors, many who are also wonderful singers, musicians and songwriters,” said executive producer Steve Buchanan.

“It is exciting to be able to hit the road and be face to face with our show’s fans.”

Nashville is currently airing its second season Tuesday nights on TG4.

Hayden confirmed for Heroes Reborn

Ever since the hit television series Heroes came to an end, fans have been calling for the cast to reunite for either a new season, a one-off special or even a Heroes movie. Unfortunately we have been waiting and waiting with nothing coming our way, until now.

It was recently confirmed that NBC had given the go ahead for a new Heroes television series which would be titled Heroes Reborn and focus on a whole new group of heroes. It has been suggested that we could see a few of the original Heroes characters making cameo appearances in Heroes Reborn and it has now been confirmed that there are even bigger plans for the Heroes franchise.

It has been confirmed that original Heroes stars Hayden Panettiere, who played the role of Claire Bennett in the hit series, as well as Milo Ventimiglia, who was the main protagonist Peter Petrelli, have both signed on to star in a planned Heroes movie. The idea is that we will see a number of original Heroes characters sharing the big screen with the new stars, as the old guard hand over to the new comers.

A source explained, “Now that NBC have given the new Heroes Reborn the green light, they decided that it would be a great idea to see the original Heroes characters leading the way for the new characters, before signing off. We will no doubt see them again in guest roles on the new Heroes series.”
