‘Nashville’ alum Hayden Panettiere also opened up about co-parenting with ex Wladimir Klitschko while exclusively chatting with The Messenger about her forthcoming speaking engagement tour

Hayden Panettiere will support her daughter Kaya in whatever she wants to do — even if she wants to follow in her mom’s famous footsteps.

“I have not heard one peep about acting for her, [but] I would never want to be the mother or parent who said no to anything,” the Nashville alum told The Messenger while promoting her three-city speaking engagement tour, which kicks off Feb. 22 at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, Pa., and will see Panettiere share “the ups and downs” of her life as well as the “things she’s learned the hard way.“

She continued, “It would be more of a timing thing for me. It would be, ‘If you want to do this, go to school, have every experience you can have [before getting into it]. Go to college. As much as I am grateful for my career, I think missing out on the college experience is a big bummer for me. It’s something I think I will regret at the end of the day when my life is over. I wish I did that. I don’t think she wants to be an actor, she is so shy.“

Panettiere welcomed her only daughter, whom she shares with ex Wladimir Klitschko, in December 2014. The former couple dated on and off from 2009 to 2018. A year after their split, the Heroes alum — who previously detailed using opioids and alcohol as a teenager, which led to dependency into her adult years — relinquished custody of Kaya to Klitschko, who was living in Ukraine at the time.

The Remember the Titans alum went on to tell The Messenger about how she and Klitschko co-parent living in different parts of the world, explaining that it’s “really hard with the time changes.“

She added, “We’re not always in the same places either. She travels around Europe, and I travel around here in the US. She came out to [visit] me. She is me. Vlad laughs, and I think it makes Vlad really happy to have a little me there. There is so much love and respect between us. He has a helicopter and is trying to fly helicopters so while he has her in the back, he will send me videos of her passed out listening to the Nashville soundtrack.“
