Jansen Panettiere on ‘Five Minutes with Mary’

Hayden’s (not so little anymore) brother Jansen Panettiere has recently produced and starred in Five Minutes with Mary, a short film directed by Matt Beurois and inspired by true events during the November 2015 Paris terrorist attacks.

Jansen plays Danny, a boy thrust into the shootings after he receives a call from who he thinks is a friend in Paris. After hearing loud gunshots, Danny learns on the phone that a woman named Mary is trapped in the Bataclan with terrorists.

Five Minutes with Mary will be at festivals starting in January and on VOD at the end of 2017.

“We made this film to commemorate those that lost their lives during the terrorist attack on November 13 at the Bataclan in Paris, the impact this event has had on those families that have lost loved ones, people all around the world who have felt the effects of this tragedy,” Panettiere told MTV News. “Working on a project based on such an event was very motivating. It made me feel like I was representing the unspoken stories.”
