Hayden Panettiere will compete against Eva Longoria on ‘Lip Sync Battle’.
The ‘Nashville’ actress will go head-to-head with the ‘Desperate Housewives star on the show in February but Hayden could have the upper hand as she enlists Christina Aguilera for a performance of ‘Lady Marmalade’, according to Entertainment Weekly. It has not been revealed if Eva, 40, will enlist the help of a fellow celebrity. The show sees two celebrities go head-to-head in a bid to out-perform one another while lip-syncing to famous songs.
Some of the most memorable performances include Anne Hathaway singing Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball’, Terry Crew’s topless rendition of ‘A Thousand Miles’ and the recent head-to-head between Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum.
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Hayden has returned to work.
The 26-year-old actress sought treatment for postpartum depression in October, 10 months after the birth of her and fiancé Wladamir Klitschko’s daughter Kaya and she recently resumed filming on TV show ‘Nashville’ following her leave of absence.
TVLine reports that Hayden, who plays country singer Juliette Barnes on the show, was on set to begin filming episode 14 of season four of the drama series. She is expected to be back on screens in April.
Juliette Barnes is back!
Nashville‘s Hayden Panettiere, who in October took a leave of absence from the ABC drama to undergo treatment for postpartum depression has returned to work on the series, TVLine has learned exclusively.
An ABC rep declined to comment, but sources confirm that the actress reported back to the set on Friday to begin work on Season 4’s 14th episode, which is slated to air in April. (Nashville returns from its midseason break on March 16).
Panettiere left the series in early October just as Episode 9 was about to start production. Her character, Juliette — who in an eerie parallel was also battling postpartum depression — was last seen in the Nov. 18 episode.
Executive producer/showrunner Dee Johnson said that she fully expected Panettiere to return.
“It’s not the entire season, it’s just for now,” Johnson told Deadline, adding, “We’ve had to make adjustments, but it’s not uncommon for shows to have to make such accommodations when real life intervenes.”
Hayden Panettiere attended the Ein Herz Fuer Kinder (translated: A Heart For Children) Gala with her fiancé Wladimir Klitschko in Berlin, Germany on Saturday. They were joined by Wladimir’s brother, Vitali Klitschko, and his wife Natalia.
The 26-year-old, who wore studded black leggings with a blazer and an off-the-shoulder top, appeared to be having a great time while posing for photographs.
On Friday, Hayden posted a selfie showing off her newly cut blonde locks, which grazed her shoulders.
She captioned the Twitter photo, writing: ‘Chopping off hair is like getting rid of metaphorical and literal dead ends. Off with the old and growing the new,’ adding a flexed arm emoji.

Hayden made her first public appearance since entering treatment for postpartum depression in early October, stepping out to support fiance Wladimir Klitschko during his hugely hyped world heavyweight title fight in Dusseldorf, Germany, on Nov. 28th.
Hayden looked happy and healthy as she posed for photographers wearing a striped sweater, plaid miniskirt and hat before Wlad’s bout with Britain’s Tyson Fury. But that show of solidarity wasn’t enough: Tyson beat Wladimir, marking the Olympic gold medalist’s first defeat in 11 years.
As a bruised and bloodied Wlad left the arena, Hayden was by his side where she could be seen holding his hand while wrapping her other arm around him.
Hayden is reportedly recovering postpartum depression with Wladimir Klitschko and their baby. The actress had decided to check herself into a treatment facility just last month.
“Hayden Panettiere is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center,” her rep wrote in an official statement, according to Franchise Herald. “She is currently battling postpartum depression. She asks that the media respect her privacy during this time.”
Her “Nashville” co-star, Riley Smith, revealed to Us Weekly that her friend is doing “good” in the facility. “I texted her and wished her well,” she said. “She texted me right back and said, ‘I am awesome! Thanks!’ So, hopefully, she will be back on the set soon.”
Although Hayden Panettiere of “Nashville” cast and her fiance Wladimir Klitschko welcomed baby Kaya last December, she had admitted that things were not easy for her. As it would turn out, she was suffering from postpartum depression since giving birth to her daughter.
“I suffered a bit of postpartum depression,” Panettiere admitted, according to Daily Mail. “You are not alone or crazy, ladies!” Plus, she also opened up about her struggles with postpartum depression when she agreed to an interview on “LIve with Kelly and Michael.”
“When they tell you about postpartum depression, you think it is ‘I feel negative feelings towards my child. I want to injure or hurt my child!'” she said. “I have never ever had those feelings! Some women do! It is something that is completely uncontrollable! It is really painful. It is really scary! Women need a lot of support!”
Thankfully for Hayden Panettiere, she is getting loads of support from her fellow “Nashville” cast and her family, Wladimir Klitschko and their baby. That said, she has advised other women who have recently given birth to talk more about this condition, especially considering that postpartum depression affects a huge number of women.
DEADLINE: The storyline of Juliette’s postpartum emotional struggles plays eerily realistic. Was it informed by Hayden Panettiere’s real-life issues?
JOHNSON: Absolutely not. We incorporated Hayden’s pregnancy into the storyline last season, but we knew Juliette would have issues with motherhood and had always planned for her to struggle with her demons afterwards, including postpartum depression.
DEADLINE: How are you proceeding with filming the season without Hayden? Have you had to adjust storylines?
JOHNSON: It’s not the entire season, it’s just for now. And yes, we’ve had to make adjustments but it’s not uncommon for shows to have to make such accommodations when real life intervenes.
